Dr. Apollo Kivumbi

Dr. Kivumbi is a second-year Master of Medicine in Psychiatry student at the College of Health Sciences, Makerere University. He also holds a Masters of Public Health degree. He has been actively participating and coordinating research in HIV, mental health in children, and has an interest in Child and Adolescent mental health. Specifically, his research interests lie in optimizing functioning among children and adolescents diagnosed with a neurodevelopmental disorder, which disproportionately affect HIV infected individuals. He also looks at the use of technology to improve mental health outcomes among children and adolescents and their families after a diagnosis of mental illness.
