Janet Nakigudde is a Behavioural Science Lecturer and Clinical Psychologist in the Department of Psychiatry in the College of Health Sciences at Makerere University in Uganda. As part of her work, she mentors undergraduate and postgraduate students in behavioral science and bioethics. She is also involved in clinical work in the hospital and started the psychological assessment and management of patients in the two Uganda National referral hospitals (Mulago and Butabika). In 2015, she was an awardee of the John Hopkins Fogarty African BioethicsTraining Program, which has enabled her serve in the capacity of a focal person for Uganda in the Africa Ethics Working Group, an entity appointed by the Oxford Global Initiative in Neuropsychiatric GenEthics (NeuroGenE).
