Lancet Young Leader for Global Mental Health - Burundi

David is a young leader and current Social Sciences student with an educational background in Law. An advocate for people living in humanitarian settings, he has implemented projects in refugees camps in Africa, as well as asylum centres in Denmark. These projects sought to prevent mental health issues by improving access to appropriate mental health care for these at risk populations. As the Regional Focal Point in Europe for the United Nations Major Group for Children and Youth, David works to support the Sustainable Development Goal of Good Health and Well-being. As the new Global School Advocate for the Sustainable Development Solutions Network, he works to implement Sustainable Development Goals in schools within Denmark. He believes in a world with fewer Mental Health issues.
