Esthel Nechibvuri sits in the Zimbabwe Young People Advisory Panel (YPAP) in EMDIYA Zimbabwe through the Center for Sexual Health and HIV AIDS Research (CeSHHAR Zimbabwe). She represents a diversity of young women at high risk of HIV. Esthel is studying towards a BSc degree in Chemical and Processing Systems Engineering at the Harare Institute of Technology (HIT). With over two years’ experience in young persons’ engagement through CeSHHAR’s key populations’ research programmes supporting female sex workers, Esthel is currently playing a pivotal role in digital mental health innovations by engaging and coordinating the participation of young women selling sex across Zimbabwe.  She possesses strong communication and mentoring skills and has been influential through advocating for mental health care and wellness amongst young women selling sex through awareness raising on Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights and challenging cultural norms affecting the dignity and rights of sex workers within peer networks.
