Kudzai Kanyere sits in the Zimbabwe Young People Advisory Panel (YPAP) under the EMDIYA Zimbabwe led through the Center for Sexual Health and HIV AIDS Research (CeSHHAR Zimbabwe). She represents young people in the LGBTQI+ community. She is a 3rd-year university student at Midlands State University (MSU), pursuing a BSc degree in Local Governance. Currently, she is on work placement at the Gays and Lesbians Association of Zimbabwe (GALZ) where she is pursuing human rights advocacy. Kudzai manages an online mental health and wellness space for university students in the LGBTQI community. She is passionate about involvement in mental health policymaking and finding ways to ensure that young people are active participants in the formulation of laws and, policies used to govern their day to day lives.
