Following the face-to-face meeting in Kilifi, Kenya, the AEWG has welcomed the following 6 new members:

• Prof. Getnet Tadele, and Prof. Telahun Teka from Ethiopia
• Prof. Eunice Kamaara, and Ms. Mary Bitta from Kenya
• Dr. Andrea Palk from South Africa
• Dr. Erisa Sabakaki Mwaka from Uganda

The new members were invited to join the AEWG due to their impressive expertise in bioethics and relevant disciplines. They make an excellent addition to the team, and the AEWG look forward to properly welcoming their new members at the upcoming face-to-face meeting later this month in Cape Town, South Africa. The meeting will provide the perfect opportunity for the group to discuss the practical ethics of collecting genetic samples, and foster outstanding research collaborations in the ethics of psychiatric genomics.
